Job / Work Description:
As a Housekeeping Employee, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of various areas within a facility, such as hotels, offices, or residential homes. Your role is crucial in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, clients, or residents. You will perform a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing surfaces. Sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas to ensure hygiene.
- Bed Making: Change bed linens, make beds, and ensure that all sleeping areas are clean and well-organized.
- Laundry Duties: Wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and towels. Ensure that laundry services are performed efficiently and with attention to detail.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment. Replenish stock as needed and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of trash and waste materials. Ensure proper disposal and recycling practices are followed.
- Reporting: Notify supervisors of any maintenance issues or safety hazards. Report any lost or damaged items found during cleaning.
- Guest Interaction: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests or residents. Address any special requests or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Use cleaning products and equipment according to safety guidelines.
